My Mom’s campaign

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for taking the time to read. Recently, our mother was diagnosed with cancer which could be fatal if untreated. My family asks that you please pray that she will recover and be with us for many years to come. We are also asking for your generous donations to assist our family with anything you can afford. Every little bit will help. We intend to put the money to use in pursuing our mission of ensuring that my mom will have her surgery as soon as possible. She is very scared to proceed with the surgery as it is very expensive in the Philippines and her medical insurance can’t cover it all. I’m making arrangements now to be home soon to assist my mom during her surgery & treatment. As per the doctor’s recommendation, she needs to have her surgery as soon as possible. My mom is refusing to undergo the procedure maybe because she is also worried for the financial expenses. I’m asking all my friends and family to please consider making a donation towards her procedure as this will ease the financial burden that this will cause and hopefully convince mom to proceed with the doctors recommendations. Your donation will help my mom and my family and delay my Dad not to go back to work for the meantime while she undergoes surgical treatment. A little bit of their story that inspires me a lot. They were high school sweethearts now married over 30 years. My Dad is 57 now and has worked abroad to support my family for many years. They both celebrated their birthdays in July, Dad (13th) and Mom (24th). Two days before moms birthday, she complained of lower abdomen discomforts and after being seen by doctors and undergoing ultrasounds and an MRI, it was noted she had partial obstruction in Recto-sigmoid with a 10cm mass. A biopsy was conducted and the result was Adenocarcinoma on 31 July. I can’t imagine my dad having to go back to work on the ship in order to support for my mom’s illness when she needs him the most. My family needs assistance and your support to help my parents to stay closer together during this tough time. Thanks to my Aunt Ling for helping her so much now, currently, she is on IZUMI therapy.

The sponsored students by my mom should realize the importance of education so that, just like my mum, they can encourage and even support others, let alone supporting themselves as independent individuals. Today, I am proud to say that I’m lucky to have a great mother and I am doing this campaign for my mum sharing her story so that everyone could bear witness how my mum sponsored relatives and students to send them to high school and for vocational courses. She is my inspiration for doing this campaign and this time for my mum’s financial assistance because she deserved it,so, she will continuously help other students by giving them chance to study as a working student”.

The amount needed for her treatment is quite expensive and additional funds can be helpful. I have enclosed a copy of all my mom’s medical records related to her condition.
